After the bad news, I am still trying my best to concentrate on my work, I have everything setup here in the office for me to be produtive, but who am I kidding… Death is not something you could shrug off that easily.
I have been bumming around for the last 26 28 hours (I can’t sleep and it took me 2 hours to finish this post lol) pondering and letting my mind wander. I hate that I feel useless and I’m not getting anything done but I could breathe easy that after informing clients of my mental/emotional situation, the pressure seem to have lightened for now.
In lighter news, Baddie tagged me yesterday to show what my desktop looks like. I really have nothing to show off but eh.. Oh wells… Here is the desktop of mon ordinateur plugging Baddie’s website.
A bit of explanation? *heaves a sigh and trudges along to tour you around my desktop*
Just so you know, I’m using Windows XP on my computer but I use to have Vista on my notebook (until I needed to sell that baby) and since I kind of got used to the Vista look, I have Windows Blinds on my PC to make it look like Vista more or less. I don’t want Windows Vista here since I have a lot of applications and softwares that clients usually need that Vista will just give me the headache in case it won’t allow them to be installed.
I tend to change my wallpaper whenever I’m bored or cleaning up my hard drives and I have the night elf from Warcraft as my wallpaper for a couple of weeks now. I only used to play Warcraft when I was in college but I still like this elf, she’s wicked awesome, I heart her.
The folders and files on the desktop are not permanent fixtures (except for the three icons on the leftmost corner and the recycle bin which is not visible on that print screen). I use the desktop as temporary storage for everything that I have to work on for a certain day so all these crapsticles are things I have to give attention to for today.
The Docs icon is my documents folder if you haven’t figured that out yet, the Sony Ericsson File Manager is for when my phone is plugged into the computer — which BTW, that phone disappeared on me weeks ago, don’t ask 😥 — and the fiona.flv file is actually the Makulay commercial which my daughter always asks demands me to play when she has her chance to invade my office.
The Adobe Photoshop, the MP3 folder, Winamp, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Firefox (which btw looks like the IE7 doesn’t it?) are the 5 things that I keep opened almost all the time.
In the system tray is of course YM (everyone knows YM), Google Talk, Skype, the anti-virus, the spybot, Torrent, and a bunch of other misc thingiees.
At the end of the day, when it’s time for the PC to sleep, the desktop lookie likes this:
So I guess that’s everything, right? Feel free to ask questions.
And lastly, I’m tagging the last 5 people who visited my site as registered by mybloglog (those who I assume have not been tagged yet, I hopes):
I am sowee I know we’re all not close but I’m just making it easier for me to think. So tag it baby, you’re all it!
Here teh instructionz be:
- Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun.
- Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of Icons, things like that.
- Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.
